KEEPING STUDENTS SAFE IN OUR STUDIO (Updated May 24, 2020)

Dear Students, Parents, Guardians & Friends,

Beginning the week of June 15, we will resume limited classes at our studio with limited enrollment. Each class requires a minimum of 3 students and a maximum of 6 students. In addition, we will continue to follow these hygiene and safety pre-cautions:

  • Anyone entering our studio is required to use hand sanitizer. Supplies are available at the entrance and in the restroom.

  • Class size will be limited to a minimum of THREE and a maximum of SIX students, plus 1-2 instructors. Camps may differ.

  • The instructor(s) will assist with tuning instruments, and will use hand sanitizer after all instruments are tuned. We will conduct sessions on self-tuning instruments.

  • Students may not share personal items. As needed, we will provide guitar picks to students, which they may keep. We will have a supply on hand at the studio.

  • Students will be seated at least 6 feet apart. When weather permits, we will conduct classes outside on our patio.

  • We will wipe down our instruments with disinfectant after each class.

  • We also have soap in the restroom. We ask that everyone washes their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds after using the restroom or sneezing/coughing into their hands.

  • If you have a fever, are suffering flu-like symptoms or simply don’t feel 100%, PLEASE do not come to the studio.

  • And please exercise your best judgement. If at any time you don’t feel comfortable sending your student to class, please let me know. Honesty and communication are key to a successful relationship.

What You Can Do

Adhering to the above precautions and the CDC prevention guidelines is a good way to protect yourself, your loved ones and your community.  If anyone in your family has an elevated fever, we ask that you stay home until they have a normal temperature for over 24 hours without the use of medication.

We will continue to re-evaluate the situation and do our best to plan responsibly for the coming days and weeks. The safety and well-being of our students, staff and partners will always be our top priority. Remember… if at any time you don’t feel comfortable sending your student to class, please let me know. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact jim@qcdickson.org or 615.326.5090.

Thank you, and please stay well!

Mr. Jim & the Quest Center Team.
